‘All you need is love… and cake!’ Or in Lauren & Dave’s opinion… a village hall filled with cakes! Seriously, I have never seen a room filled with so many different gorgeous cakes! It was an afternoon tea delight at their Emery Down Village Hall wedding reception after their lovely Eling Church ceremony. Whilst editing their photographs I had to always have cake on stand-by for the unavoidable cravings!
Thank you to the lovely Emma Moore from Emma Moore Photography who was my second shooter for the day!
I started the day with Lauren whilst she had her hair and make-up done by the talented Miriam King at her parent’s home in Southampton, whilst Emma captured Dave and the boys getting ready at the couple’s home in Totton. The couple have a gorgeous little girl called Ava-Rose, who was rather pleased with all the attention she was receiving – a natural in front of the camera after her baby photoshoot a few months ago!
Lauren booked a perfectly vintage styled VW camper (named Mr Happy) to take her dad, bridesmaids and herself to Eling Church for the ceremony. St Mary’s Church at Eling is just up a little hill from a gorgeous quay and surrounded by woodland – perfect for couple photographs of Lauren & Dave after their ceremony!
They truly are a lovely couple!
We then went to meet their guests at Emery Down Village Hall. Styled by Fundoo Weddings, the hall looked absolutely amazing with pastel bunting, pom poms and a sweet-tooth’s haven with a candy cart, beautiful wedding cakes and cupcakes, as well as a delightful afternoon tea by Forget Me Not Elegant Events washed down with cocktails from Tom’s Bespoke Bartending Co. Lauren gave me a slice of the chocolate cake (one of many cakes on their table!) and I have to say it was the best chocolate cake I have ever eaten!
Thank you so much Lauren & Dave for such a wonderful, gorgeous, happy day! To view all the images from their Eling Church & Emery Down Village Hall Wedding please contact the Bride or Groom for the password before clicking on the link to their gallery here.
